Why HOBM?
Discover our culture, our history, and the people behind the Junior Eagles.
The Eagle Way
We base our culture on the core principle: Soar as One, Lele Fa'atasi, Tohara Rite Kotahi.
HOBM is built on Te Ara Ranga Tira (The Rugby Way):
- Te Pou Maioha: Be Welcoming to all families.
- Te Pou Hiranga: Be Your Best, developmentally and as people.
- Te Pou Ihiihi: Be Passionate for the game.
- Te Pou Tika: Play Fair.
The Club Song
We are the Eagles, the mighty Eagles... (We sing this with pride after our games, celebrating the Green and Red!)
Our History
The Hutt Old Boys Marist (HOBM) club has a rich legacy in Wellington rugby. With nearly 350 junior players from Nursery U5 through to Under 13s, our player pathway extends smoothly up to our Premier sides.
The Manly Tour
One of our most prized traditions is our junior exchange with Manly (Australia). This tour provides a one-in-a-lifetime developmental and cultural experience for our young players, forging lifelong friendships across the ditch.
Leadership & Contacts
Our club runs entirely on volunteer passion.
